物流巴巴獲悉，2017年5月24日，赫伯羅特(HPL)官網(wǎng)宣布，赫伯羅特與阿拉伯輪船(UASC)的合并已經(jīng)完成，兩者正式成為一家公司。該事件對于上述兩家船公司，乃至全球班輪市場來說，都具有歷史上重大程碑的意義。
在赫伯羅特發(fā)布的《致赫伯羅特及阿拉伯輪船客戶》中，表示，新的赫伯羅特是全球前五大班輪運營商之一，將以更大、更高效、更環(huán)保的船只，為客戶提供全球范圍內(nèi)的一系列重要服務(wù)。
但是值得注意的是，由于兩家公司的內(nèi)部系統(tǒng)及流程的整合無法在短期內(nèi)完成，因此，短期內(nèi)雙方將繼續(xù)保持獨立運作。預(yù)計今年7月，阿拉伯輪船的第一個服務(wù)將轉(zhuǎn)移至赫伯羅特，而其他的服務(wù)將在之后的幾周內(nèi)陸續(xù)轉(zhuǎn)移。
據(jù)了解，赫伯羅特于2016年6月29日官方證實赫伯羅特將與阿拉伯輪船合并，至今正式合并接近一年時間。新赫伯羅特全球排名第5，船隊規(guī)模為226艘，合計運力為154.3萬TEU，占全球總運力的7.4%。
